Here at the Sea Gull, we have a growing group of Wonderful Winter Texans who come back and see us every year. During their stay, they have numerous gatherings and engage in a variety of activities together – Pot Luck Dinners, Bingo, Social Hour, Poker, Bridge, Exercise, Music, Golfing, Ladies’ Luncheon, etc… If not by passing each other in the lobby, they are able to keep up with all of the activities by checking out our Winter Texan Bulletin Board.

Winter Port Aransas Experience
Port Aransas offers a unique winter experience that continues to draw in a wide variety of travelers year after year. This wonderful island offers some of the best birding and many see a variety of Bird in the wetland areas just behind Sea Gull. Those interested in fishing will be excited to learn that many locals prefer winter fishing. Get your bait in the water and cook up your catch in the condo.
Winter Texans Find Winter Months are Prime For Recreation
The local Port Aransas Visitor Bureau provides a list of activities that range from live music to open air markets and so much more. The shops in town are very unique and offer everything from your daily needs to lovely gifts to send back to the family. A local candy shop is a local Port Aransas treasure, make sure you stop in for some ‘saltwater taffy’. There are several golf courses in the area to select from. All you have to do is look out your gulf window to view the beach and then plan you beach walk. The warm afternoon sun is the biggest reason most come to the Coast! Enjoy it on the beach or on our lovely sundeck.
When do you allow Winter Vacation Stays?
For Winter Texans, we typically rent the months of December to February, but we know some of you like to arrive as early as November and stay as late as March. Just ask us what properties we have available and we’d be glad to check what condos are available. Monthly rates will be different, however, for those months that are not included in the typical off-season.
How to make it a great Winter Vacation?
The fun in Port Aransas doesn’t end in the Summer. When you stay with Sea Gull in the winter you’ll be able to spend time on the beach, book a deep sea fishing adventure, relax on the sundeck or in the hot tub, go horseback riding, explore a dolphin watching cruise or even enjoy live music and coffee at the local coffee shop. After your first class experience you will wonder why you haven’t been spending every winter in Port Aransas.
