An annular solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth while it is

at its farthest point from Earth. Because the Moon is farther away from Earth, it appears smaller

than the Sun and does not completely cover the star. The Eclipse is on October 14th, 2023, and

is predicted to show in Texas around 11:30 am and last until close to 12:03 pm. It’s said that

Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas will have the most prolonged annular phase of the

eclipse!
